CSR Introduction

CSR refers to the way in which businesses regulate themselves in order to ensure that all of their activities positively affect society as a whole. CSR policies aim to guarantee that companies work ethically, considering human rights as well as the social, economic and environmental impacts of what they do as a business. Businesses should meet, and aim to exceed, any relevant legislation, and if legislation does not exist in a particular area, the company should ensure they carry out best practices anyway.

As a leading global localization company,EC Innovations are committed to ensuring that any business undertakings are conducted as ethically as possible by following the below policy.

Communication

All EC Innovations’ employees and contractors will adopt the Corporate Social Responsibility considerations described in this policy into their day-to-day work activities. EC Innovations’ leaders will act as role models by incorporating those considerations into decision-making in all localizations services activities. EC Innovations’ leaders will ensure that appropriate organizational structures are in place to effectively identify, monitor, and manage Corporate Social Responsibility issues and performance relevant to our localization’s services.

Sustainable Business Model

EC Innovations believes in a sustainable business model that will help ensure a secure future for all our stakeholders. To achieve this goal, EC Innovations does not focus on short-term revenue generation, but on long-term relationships that will produce a steady, sustainable source of revenue for years to come.

  • EC Innovations achieves this goal by pricing both quality and profitability into our rates.
  • EC Innovations takes the long-term approach to get a sustainable business model, while many companies in our industry promise unsustainable rates that lead to lower quality in order to drive up revenue in the short term, which is of no longer-term value to their clients, their shareholders or their other stakeholders. 

Business Ethics and Transparency

EC Innovations is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance practices in order to maintain excellence in its daily operations, and to promote confidence in our governance systems.

  • EC Innovations fair to all our partners, never seeking to ‘squeeze’ clients or vendors for some short-term gain.
  • EC Innovations solicits feedback from customers and sets up teams for root cause analysis of cases for continuous improvement.
  • EC Innovations is obtaining income from legitimate and legal channels, and will not engage in activities such as tabaco, gambling, weaponry, racism, sexism, etc.
  • EC Innovations is committed to protecting the reasonable privacy expectations of personal information of everyone we do business with, in strict compliance with GDPR requirements,including suppliers, clients, consumers and employees. EC Innovations complies with privacy and information security laws and regulatory requirements when personal information is collected, stored, processed, transmitted, and shared.
  • EC Innovations recognizes the importance of protecting all of our human, financial, physical, informational, social, environmental, and reputational assets.
  • EC Innovations will advise our partners, contractors, and suppliers of our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, and will work with them to achieve consistency with this policy.

Environmental sustainability

Protection of the environment in which we live and operate is part of EC Innovations’ values and principles and we consider it to be sound business practice. Care for the environment is one of our key responsibilities and an important part of the way in which we do business. We strive to reduce our energy use, manage our carbon footprint and decrease our overall environmental impact.

  • EC Innovations is committed to environmental protection and stewardship.
  • EC Innovations complies with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice.
  • EC Innovations encourages reduction in the use of resources by printing only when absolutely necessary, using paperless invoicing, and by preferring virtual meetings to face-to-face meetings whenever possible, to reduce our carbon-intensive travel associated with such meetings.
  • EC Innovations uses online delivery model that requires suppliers to deliver in a paperless manner and recommends clients use the system platform for business cooperation.
  • EC Innovations ask employees to turn off all the machines that aren’t currently used within the office. Also, when purchasing office machinery, buy ones that use less power and emit smaller carbon footprints.
  • EC Innovations is not involved in energy extraction, industrial manufacturing, biological research, etc. which could damage the sustainable environment, and at the same time, we will effectively incorporate these concepts into our business decisions.
  • All employees are responsible and accountable for contributing to a safe working environment, for fostering safe working attitudes, and for operating in an environmentally responsible manner.

From our founding in 1997 to our global expansion today, we have approximately 660 employees worldwide.
